When Cypress Hill started out, they called themselves B Real. The group's eponymous debut became a sensation in early 1992, several months after its initial release. In the early days of their career, and Cypress Hill's public pro-marijuana stance earned them many fans among the alternative rock community, and helped the album succeed.
